Job Summary:
As a Lead Carpenter at MAK General Contractors, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing various carpentry tasks on construction and remodeling projects. You will lead a team of carpenters, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Lead Carpenter plays a crucial role in delivering successful projects that meet client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carpentry Expertise: Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, cabinetry, and millwork, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of carpenters, providing guidance, instruction, and support to ensure project objectives are met.
- Project Planning: Assist in project planning, including material estimation, task scheduling, and coordination with other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality and safety standards, making necessary adjustments and corrections as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and industry safety regulations. Implement safety measures and protocols on the job site.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during construction, finding practical solutions to keep the project on track.
- Tool Maintenance: Properly maintain and care for carpentry tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter, with at least 2 years of experience in construction and remodeling projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in various carpentry techniques and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
